TROY, N.Y. — Troy’s Earth Day Block Party will take place on Saturday, April 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Fulton Street, between 4th Street and 5th Street. Join the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District and the local community in celebrating Earth Day with an afternoon of Family Fun. There will be earth day themed activities, Live Music by Oobleck, Face Painting, Balloon Animals, local food, beverages by Hudson-Chatham Winery and more!

Monolith Solar Empowers Troy, New York Community with Landfill Solar Farm

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the City of Troy, and Monolith Solar today announced the completion of a 603-kilowatt solar array at the city’s former landfill. This array completes the City’s solar project that included six installations and supports Governor Andrew Cuomo’s goal to have 50 percent of the State’s electricity come from renewable sources by 2030.

Hetcheltown Farm
written by monolith solar, July 21, 2016This is our farm on Hetcheltown Road, in Schenectady. Its producing about 450 KW at peak, and is expected to save the county about $30,000 a year. The project has almost 2,000 solar panels and is one of our bigger farms, to date.

written by monolith solar, April 27, 2016Our 200KW farm in Nelliston, NY is now operational. This farm delivers clean energy to the Fort Plain school district, and other places, as it absorbs the sun rays with its cutting edge power technology. The grand opening of the farm was viewed by the town mayor, assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara and the superintendent of the school.
