Spotlighting Women in Solar

Monolith Solar will be hosting Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) from the New York – Capital Region chapter on July 30 for an afternoon of education, conversation, and celebration.

The solar industry in the Capital Region is rapidly expanding and that’s due in no small part to the efforts of the ambitious and innovative women championing this developing market. That’s why WRISE, whose mission is to promote the training and advancement of women in the green economy, and Monolith Solar, whose mission is to empower communities with renewable energy, are teaming up to recognize this extraordinary group of individuals.

The event will kick off at 3 pm at our Hetcheltown Road Solar Farm in Schenectady. We’ll be giving attendees a tour of the facility and a brief lesson about its construction and operation. Then at 4 pm, we’ll move out of the heat to Centre Street Public House for a Q&A with a few of the leading ladies at Monolith Solar to learn about the exciting work they do. You’ll hear from our Office Manager, Sales Director, Director of Operational Excellence, and Commercial Systems Coordinator, moderated by our Customer Relations Coordinator.

Whether you’re exploring a career in the solar industry, looking for inspiring female leadership, or just curious about renewable energy, we encourage you to come! The program is free and open to the public, but space is limited so please register here to reserve your spot. We also recommend wearing close-toed shoes during the tour. Lastly, special thanks to Katie Alexandridis and Carrie Hughes-Cromwick of GE for organizing this event.
